Get st augustine grass to spread!?!?!?

i have small and large patches of st augustine around a acre and a half yard, how do i get the St. A to spread very fast over the next 1-2 years , i have a 3-400 dollar budget so maybe a couple pallets of grass spread the whole yard in smaller sections! i dont know have any ideas?

for over 3 years me and my ex have been in a off and on relationship untill her recently we decided to go our seperate ways... mainly because she wasnt mature enough for me she only caused me grief and problems me and her are both 19 so i left her but on our last sexual encounter she got pregenent well... of course i was destroyed... one because i cant stand her i hate her with a burning passion and two because was never mother material she is basicly a 13 year old in a 19 year old body... but anyways my son was born and he is now a year old and right now he has been in and out of the hospital sence he was born idk if its because he has some serious medical problems or if its because my stupid ex neglects him i was able to be there for his birth which i will say was the worst experience of my life not him being born but my exs mother making it the worst... but sence ik i wanted to do the right thing i wanted to be there for my son but my ex made it impossible...i was currently seeing a new girl before he was born and i basicly left her in the dust just so i could be there for my son which required me to somehow make things work with my ex.... it tore me up inside it did... but a week went by and it just wasnt gona work me and my ex constantly faught and i just couldnt do it i never wanted to leave my son but i just couldnt put my son threw constant fighting and that wasnt the type of enviorment i wanted him growing up in so i got back with my new gf that im with currently and happly :) but my ex made things impossible with me seeing and trying to help my son...... i wanted to see my son but every time i would go see my son i would be judged because i wasnt doing someting wrong... and the only thing she wanted to do was try and get in my pants and i wasnt gona do that anymore... i was happy with my new gf and i wasnt gona let her **** that up so i stopped going over to her house to see my son because of her ik that sounds bad but i didnt knw what else to do i wanted to keep seeing my son but i wasnt gona let her keep letting her try and have her way with me i told her that if she ever needed my help with anything to tell me and i would help in any way i could but sence i was with my new gf she didnt wana have nothing to do with me because she hatted my new gf with a passion because she blames her for why me and her never worked out she says she stole me away from her and all this bs so here we are today 6/30/11 me and my new gf are currently expecting :) yes ik im a baby machine but sence i wasnt there for my first son to have the hole experience of being a dad this is a new and exciting experience for me but my ex is making things difficult because she is putting child support on me which i think is bs... because i told her that if she ever needed help i would last chrismas i got my first son like 6 outfits worth of clothing and she rejected them all why idk i offered to give her money for my son if he ever needed anything and when she ever asked me for money it wasnt for him it was for stupid bs like for cigs or for her prom crap or gas and i told her no and over this past year iv seen how she is at being a mom and she is doing horable she constanly is giving him off to other people to watch him while she drives around town for hours doing nothing exept sleeping with guys and hanging out with her friends she hasnt had my son with her for a fulll week sence he was born and now she is putting child support on me and i can almost bet its because she wants money and idk what to do....i am currently unemployed and unable to work because i cant see my eye sight is so horable i cant see anything thats not a foot from my face and me and my gf are struggling as it just trying to make it by with one job untill i can get back up on my feet and ik this sounds bad but i do not wana pay that stupid ***** child support because ik that money wont go to him it will alll go to her and thats not what i want but ik the judge wont care because here in arkansas they protect the mothers more than the fathers and i can understand why but in this case i dont knw what would happen... i dont have money to hire a layer to try and fight for custody so he can be with someone that will at least care for him... and not ditch him off constantly and all of this is just stressing me out bad because idk how the court system works and idk if im doing something wrong or what im suppost to do i just really need some advice from someone more experienced...

First you should aerate the dirt> You can do this by taking a garden rake and stab it into the ground over and over. Then by some starter fertilizer and spread down and water it. It might take a while but that should bring it back.

so im 15, and i only have 2 true fears. the first is suffering from pain, and the 2nd is bugs. This is not the case at all. A lot of people invest in a company or other things without a clue, just like religion. They haven't figured out that money is not a toy.

Try to understand your parents perspective. Of course they are going to want to see you guys getting along. And I'm sure deep down you love her. Even if you don't like her. Just ask that your parents respect how you feel because they only know a small portion of what you've dealt with. Tell them you understand why they feel like they do, but that you just can't deal with her right now, maybe in the future things will change.

Why is sunset or sunrise sometimes red and orange and colorful?

My science teacher says pollution, dust, and dirt make it more vivid. But, my step-dad says that my teacher is wrong because of the saying, "red sky at night, sailors delight, red sky night in morning, sailors warning" which dates back before pollution was a problem. My neighbor has their St Augustine grass creeping over into my yard..We do not like St Augustine grass at all..The long vines of growth are easy to trip over...Our yard is Bermuda grass..If I mow the St Augustine grass real short in that spot in my yard and over seed it with Bermuda grass..will it crowd out the St. Augustine...I have tripped over that St. Augustine way too many times to count....

Wedding dress from Goodwill?

Ok, I am slowly gathering things for my wedding and thought to go to Goodwill because glassware (candy dishes) are cheaper. I happen to pass the formal section and there it was...the dress of my dreams, and in my size! I paid $50 for it and came home to google the actual price which was $1100 give or take depending on what store it is bought from. MY QUESTION IS....where do I tell people I got my dress from if they ask. Most people would cringe at the idea of buying a wedding dress at goodwill......but honestly .....i couldn't resist! Had sex, now im messed up?

Like I said in the other thread knowledge is power so read books on this subject of childhood sexual abuse. You will have to find away to process these childhood experiences in order move forward. A good counselor can help you sort out the confusion in your life. I was verbally abused and emotionally neglected. For 26 years of my life I was involved in the drug trade. I noticed over the years that many of the females that hung around in my circle of friends had been sexually abused. As I did people use drugs to self medicate because it's easier than dealing with whats wrong. Reflecting back, I was clueless about what was really wrong in my life. The only thing I can say is these self evaluations of yourself are inaccurate. We are all equally worthy. It will take hard work to before you actually accept that. . Women have an advantage over men because they are usually more willing to admit they have a problem. It's cultural.

Can Someone Tell Me What This Fear Is?

This sounds a lot like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I'm no doctor, but just speaking from experience, these are classical symptoms. I would advise going to your gp and getting a referral to a mental health specialist. They will be able to help you, things will pick up again. It sounds like these thoughts are seriously distressing; all the more reason to get help as soon as possible. Don't turn to medication if you can help it, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is brilliant at dealing with the anxiety and panic attack side of things. I hope all goes well for you.

How do you quieten down a cooling fan in an Alienware Aurora desktop?

I have an Alienware Aurora which is driving me nuts right now. Everytime I turn the machine on, the cooling fan start making this loud humming sound. It sounds like a jumbo jet about to take off. I tried cleaning off all the fans with dust remover...it didn't fix the problem. I also checked to see if there's anything loose...there's nothing I could find. I know there's another option under BIOs. If anyone knows what settings to change, please let me know. I don't want to screw up my system by choosing the wrong settings out of stupidity. Under CPU Fan Control Settings - It says enabled. Under Fan Control Settings - It say enabled as well. Under Lowest Fan Speed - It has it listed as slow. Do I need to change these & if so, which ones? I can't adjust the RPM speed & temperature settings. It won't allow me to do so. Any help would be appreciated because the sound is annoying to listen to. After each use, I have to turn the machine off because of the loud humming sound.

Gut loading crickets for reptiles?

To much calcium in meal worm, and crickets diet can cause molting problem. You can put the multivitamin and im sure they would at least eat some of it. Don't listen to anyone who says don't give geckos dust with d3. It would be very hard to overdose on d3. Even if you tried. And its nearly impossible for reptiles to overdose on calcium. They'd die of impaction from the calcium absorbing the stomach acids before they'd die from overdose.

If your job and personal opinion don't mix?

I'm a veterinary technician and being so, part of my job is to recommend certain services and products. We have to recommend Science Diet food to clients. If a pet is overweight, put them on science diet w/d, if the pet has allergies, recommend science diet z/d, etc... its the only brand we, and most animal hospitals sell. The problem is I don't feel comfortable recommending it. I think the food is absolute crap. I personally feed my pets blue buffalo, and I wish I could recommend it to clients. And to be honest, I did last week, and I kind of felt guilty like i'm a trader to my clinic, but at the same time, I care more about the pet then the dr. making a profit on his crappy food. But what should I do? I really don't want to endorse this crappy food, and I cringe when the dr. suggests it to the client and they're all for it, and I know it's full of fillers and by-products and grains, and I just want to be like "no! put your pet on Innova, or wellness, or blue buffalo!! they will be soo much healthier" but I can't. What is normal sex supposed to feel like and is something wrong with me?

I'm a 29 year old female who cringes when guys want to have sex. It's usually painful, no matter how wet I am or how much lube is used and I didn't have any childhood trauma. Which vine or other plant would work best?

You can run the computer without the PSU fan, but once the PSU gets to it's temperature limit, it will shut down. Then it may or may not ever power up again depending on the amount and type of damage done.

The person that owned it before may have had it buffed. Meaning the plastic layer of the disc grinded away to help its readability. I would try taking a damp gentle cloth and stroke it. Form the inside out, i straight lines. Rotate the disc as you do this. When finished. Try it. If it does not work. Try a diffrent game in the system. If that works, you got a bad disc.

Ladies, do you think there is a possibility I am pregnant?

Okay so here's the story. I am 19 days late for my period. My period is mostly regular. If I were pregnant I would not mind but I'm starting to worry and think maybe I can't have children. I think thats just my mind messing with me though because I know it takes couples months before they get the baby dust. I heave recently learned that it takes 48 hours for the sperm to refuel so it can work! So basically we did a lot of that work for nothing because we had sex like 2-3 times a day! And over 100 times. Yes we love each other very much but right now I am 19 days late and not sure what to think, I took 2 urine tests at the walk-in-clinic both were negative but right now my breasts are really hurting, and lately I have been going to the washroom frequently and way more then usual. I am volunteering at this wonderful daycare and just to be around any child puts a smile on my face, so I'd be devastated if something was wrong with me! Can An Air Conditioner Blow Out Dust?

I have an old air conditioner in my apartment, probably 10+ years old. I thought of replacing it, took it out, but then changed my mind and put it back in. This argument doesn't make sense, because if God made free will, then he still created the potential for evil. I would say that he had to make evil for there to be a good. There had to be choices to be free will. Did you know that traditionally in the Old testament, Satan was not an enemy of God, but God's servant? Which explains the book of Job. Somewhere in the New Testament time we started referring to Satan as the enemy, but we are only assuming God has not placed him there to tempt us.

i did not read 100% of this truthfully, but this is what i would suggest. i have had the same thing and i went to the doctor. they said it was not a uti but put me on antibiotics anyway beacause i have adrenal insufficiency so he donst take chances with me. it went away. then i had it again and all i did was drank a bunch of cranberry juice and havnt had one since! :) i didnt think it was a uti beacuse it didnt feel the same at all. after i did some reasurch i found out that it was a very minor type of infection that usually dosnt show up. idky. but just drink some cranbery juice and if that dosnt help then go to the doctor! :)

I need help with my lawn!?

I know I have St. Augustine grass, and thats about it. There are big bare patches in the front yard and the grass in general is just weak and dying. Need advice on puppy training....?

I recently got a pit bull puppy who I love and adore, but cannot seem to control. She's about 5 months old and is just a bundle full of energy, which is to be expected. I don't obtain all that energy, so I can only manage a mile long walk, every other day. My main issue with her is her inability to just chillllllllllllllllll. I'd love for her to be able to sit and relax with me. But if I give her freedom, she'll sniff every friggin inch of the floor for scraps or dust balls. If I leash her, she whines and fights me. Not in an aggressive manner, but it's still rather frustrating. Also, I bought her this awesome $20 pillow for her comfort in the crate. Nice and plush, real cushiony. 10 minutes, it was shredded to bits. I've bought her expensive, yummy, chewy toys. But she gets bored with them easily. I've read into some solutions. It all just emphasizes encouraging positive behavior, discouraging the negative. Ugh. Not enough. Any tips would be much appreciated.

So i wanted another pet but my gramma said no. So i was really bored, I went out in the yard and collected a few pillbugs and put them in a 'bug habitat' A got a while ago. It's basically 1 gallon tank/cage combo with some hiding and clmbing areas and all that. So i put about 3 cm of sirt at the bottom, misted the habitat to keep it moist, put a rocks, some bark, and dead leaves in there and added 4 pillbugs. Is this ok? the only thing im not really sure is what to feed them. So far its been dead leaves and tetramin flakes.(fish food) Also, what can i give them for calcium? my gramma wont let me get the calcium dust...

My family is so negative all the time!!!!?

I live with my mom, grandma and younger brother. My younger brother is never home and I don't blame him because being at home is hell. We're not the most loving family. We're very cold towards each other (We don't say I love you, spend quality time, and we don't really talk to each other) which doesn't really bother me as much anymore. What does bother me is that my mom and grandma are constantly bickering and complaining. If I'm home, they're complaining about how I'm not doing anything and if I'm out volunteering or hanging out with friends, they complain about me never being home. I can never satisfy them. I also had an interview today and instead of encouraging me and making me feel good they started bitching at me which made me reschedule my interview because I just felt angry and upset. Video card freezes computer due to overheating?

Sweetie, its all about growing up and maturing which is what's happening to you. It's just life and this guy was obviously not the one for you so stay strong and do not give him a second chance ok. Look at it this way, he showed his true colors and at least you found out now and not two or three years later after perhaps you were married and pregnant. I have very sensitive ears. I can hear very well, but sometimes this causes problems. Sounds that seem to be at a normal level for other people cause me a lot of pain, especially sounds at a higher pitch. This is a day-to-day thing, when I cringe or cover my ears, and other people barely react. Are there any devices that block out loud sounds, that kind of do the opposite of a hearing aid. I'm looking for something that will allow me to still be able to hear clearly, but without the pain (regular earplugs don't work - it all or nothing with those). Better yet, are there any devices like this that are affordable? And if you can answer why these seemingly normal noise levels are so painful to me, that would be great, too.

How's the start of my novel?

Very well written! I'm surprised you're 11. Wow. The last few sentences seem to be Purple Prose though. Remove all the extra adjectives and adverbs. Anyway, it seems to be good enough to publish and I would definitely read it. By the way, what genre are you writing for?
